The Kraken is a unique and original combination of point-to-point hand wired tube guitar amplifier design, and
hand/ear selected Schreyer Audio cabinet, speaker, and reverb configurations. At the heart of the Kraken is a
classic 5F6A circuit design. In place of the original 4 hole input with two Normal and two Bright inputs, a single
pair of inputs and a Bright/Normal switch is offered. Two high-end WeberVST AlNiCo 12 inch speakers
(12A150A) are mounted in an offset 2x12 narrow panel Twin cab. The classic 5F6A circuit with it’s 12AX7 driven
Treble/Bass/Middle tone stack, Presence control, and 2x 6L6 fixed bias 45 watt power stage combined with the
2x12 AlNiCo speakers and the Schreyer Audio Reverb drive circuit all work together to create a superior guitar
amplifier combo . Reverb is added by including an opamp circuit to drive and pickup the signal from a classic
Accutronics spring reverb tank. One single reverb knob mixes the dry and wet signals together for the desired
amount of reverb. Well suited for rehearsal, studio, or on stage (large or small), the Kraken will deliver in all areas
with exceptional tone and performance. The combo cabinet is hand built with Solid Pine and 1/4" finger joints. Each
amplifier is hand wired in our shop in Carlsbad, CA, USA.
